ARE THERE DIFFERENT RESULTS FROM DIFFERENT PRACTITIONERS?

Absolutely, because acupuncture is a none-specific physical stimulation of the body surface, i.e., no any medication injection, therapeutic results of acupuncture is closely related to clinical experience, skills and careful attitude of the practitioner.  For example, same illnesses can be treated with different acupoints or acupuncture techniques, such as the body acupuncture or auricular acupuncture, which choice is dependent on the practitioner’s experience. In addition, needing sensations experienced by patients may also be related to the practitioner’s needle-manipulating techniques. These facts indicate that acupuncture therapy possesses a rather big proportion of art besides its science core. Thus, the effectiveness of acupuncture may vary with different practitioners. A highly experienced and competent acupuncturist may cure patients with the least sessions or may solve those tough problems more effectively than others. On the other hand, even a new graduate with caring attitude and research merit may have better result than a practitioner with more experience but less careful attitude.
