The International Institute of Systems Medicine (IISM) is a non-profit organization registered in WI, U.S.A that is dedicated to education and research in the fields of systems, integrative and holistic medicine. IISM has been leading the way in the advancement of modern medicine including TCM since the early 1990’s, and has formed a formidable TCM Expert Panel and Academic Advisory Committee consisting of many prestigious and renowned TCM doctors, professors and scientists worldwide.
Over the years, IISM has completed a series of breakthrough scientific studies at the forefront of TCM, all while producing over a dozen influential publications that drew highest praises from our peers. From Oct. 20-22, 2007, the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS) held an international conference celebrating its 20th anniversary in Beijing. As one of the world’s pioneers in systems theory and contemporary medical acupuncture, Dr. Jin, the president of IISM was invited to co-chaired the Forum of Contemporary Acupuncture Mechanisms and Meridian Research with a system biology theme, that sparkled a high volume of interest from attendants.
Besides, as a non-profit organization, IISM has been committed to raise the public awareness of TCM, Through our efforts, in 2004, proclamations were issued by the city governments across the state of Wisconsin, including the Governor of WI, declaring every Oct. 24 to be “Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine” (AOM) Day and every last Sat of each April to be WTCQD (World Tai Chi and Qigong Day).
1. The patient first sends a request to Dr. Jin via the online request form (or email) to schedule a personalized 15 min one-one consultation through the Internet, from Dr. Jin, absolutely FREE.
2.During the consultation, Dr. Jin will answer any and all questions from the patient and will determine the need for the patient to have a holistic TCM diagnosis via the Internet, subject to the availability of webcam. If needed, the diagnosis will be scheduled to a later date. The patient will also be directed to complete an in-take health history form which must be sent back to Dr. Jin.
3.At the holistic diagnosis, Dr. Jin will perform ancient reading diagnostics of the tongue through the webcam. After a holistic diagnosis has been reached, Dr. Jin may prescribe customized herbal prescriptions among other health advises. If the patient is deemed to need physical treatments of TCM (e.g. acupuncture), Dr. Jin can select and refer one of networked TCM experts who lives in the locality of the patient. If patient has no access to a webcam, it is advised for the patient to send pictures of their tongue (taken digitally) and submit the pictures to Dr. Jin via email (aceacup@gmail.com) for review.
4.Patient will be notified of a total estimated cost including shipping, once the patient agrees, simply by submitting payment through one of major credit cards or paypal will allow the transaction to be completed. Shipments usually go out to the patient next business day of receiving payment, including detailed usage instructions.
